Scope/Description:
Full EPCI contract to Engineer, Procure,
Construct and Install a complete truss
spar floating production platform, complete
with topsides and workover rig. Scope of
work included:
- Project management
- Engineering and procurement management
- Hull,
Mooring System & Topside
detailed engineering design
- Procurement of all topsides and hull
marine systems equipment and mooring
system equipment and components
- Hull and topsides fabrication, assembly,
outfitting and pre-commissioning
- Installation,
hook-up and commissioning ready for hydrocarbons
Innovations:
- Worlds deepest Spar
platform.
Technology:
- The Spar is moored by
a nine line permanent, taut catenary system.
The mooring is composed primarily of jacketed
steel spiral strand wire, with 5.75" chain
at each end. The mooring system is secured
to the seafloor with suction pile anchors.
- Top tension for the
risers is provided by buoyant air cans.
Production Risers are single cased with
threaded coupling connectors.
